I had fun creating some new miniature comics for the River Des Press Expo this month. These tiny comic books measure about 4.25 by 5.5", and feature three silly stories. I originally created The Terrified Pterodactyl comic back in 2011, and I decided to print a few more copies this year. The Amethyst Ant and The Evil Weevil are two new stories. Each of these miniature comics was hand-bound, and there are limited copies available in my shop!
*The Amethyst Ant* This little ant story follows a curious ant who discovers an amethyst. When the amethyst disappears, his friends must help him rescue it! *The Terrified Pterodactyl* The narrative of this little dinosaur book follows a frightened pterodactyl who has just hatched and finds himself alone in the world. When he learns to fly, he at first enjoys his new activity. However, he soon learns that he is frightened of some of the new things he discovers! *The Evil Weevil* This silly little comic follows a sly weevil and his destructive journey throughout a tree. When the weevil wakes for the day, the other animals better watch out! You can now find my work on Vango - an app for buying original art! You can visit their website to download the unique app.
I've been getting questions about my available holiday cards this year. There is a limited selection of my most popular cards at The Inky Octopus, and in my Etsy shop. For the full selection however, you can visit my Zazzle shop. This shop is "print on demand" so you can order items in any quantity, and you can also customize many of the items. If you're looking for certain items in particular, you can view my holiday/yule cards, custom postage, ornaments, holiday stickers, and magnets.
If you're interested in placing a custom order directly through me, that is also available, and I am also able to make custom-designed cards and illustrations. Please contact me for more information. I am excited to announce that a selection of my work is now available at The Heirloom Room! This fun shop is located in Antique Row on Cherokee Street in downtown St. Louis, and it features a beautifully curated selection of home decor, furniture, gifts and local art. Some of my favorite items included adorable handmade plush elephants and fun animal napkin rings. You can now find a selection of my original greeting cards, postcards and illustrated books in this unique shop. Stop by their Facebook page for more photos and information.
